A BIT ABOUT EMMA
Emma Luxemburg (she/her/hers) is a New York/Connecticut-based singer, dancer, and actor. Emma is a born and bred New England girl from South Windsor, Connecticut, and was raised as the youngest of 5 children (and, consequently, an ambitious and outgoing individual through and through). She is a recent graduate of Wagner College in NYC having studied Theatre Performance with a minor in Government & Politics. Her charismatic energy and groundedness are equaled by her young leading lady essence and comedic style. But don't be fooled; not to be typecast, Emma’s intelligence, confidence, talent, and love of a challenge allow her to delve into unexpected roles with impressive results. Emma’s professional style blended with hard work, enthusiasm and humor brings vivacity to any opportunity she touches. So take a look around, find out more about Emma, see what she’s up to these days, and thank you for visiting her page!

BITTEN BY THE THEATRE BUG
The fact that Emma’s pursuing a career in the performing arts comes as no surprise to the people who knew her as a child. At the age of 2, Emma had the realization that if she pretended the ledge of the fireplace was her stage, she could sing her ABCs, and every time without fail would receive a round of applause from all who saw her. Around the same time, her parents enrolled her in her first ballet/tap combo class at the local dance studio, and from that point on, she hasn’t stopped performing. She spent most of her childhood watching Hairspray on repeat, creating dances with her friends, and preparing for the day she would get her big break. At the age of 7, Emma booked her first show, originating a role in “Love and Kindness,” a piece devised by her 2nd Grade and Music teachers. She brought the house down when she rapped her entire solo song, way before Lin-Manuel Miranda made rapping in theatre mainstream. She then went on to play roles such as a Storyteller in an all-white production of Once On This Island, and a pre-pubescent, brace-faced Lady Larkin in Once Upon A Mattress. She has been bitten by the theatre bug ever since. She went on to attend multiple summer intensives including Broadway Workshop’s Vocal Intensive, and College Intensive working with industry professionals like Marc Tumminelli, Mamie Parris, Joe Carroll, Drew Gehling, Rachelle Rak, Jessica Lee Goldyn, and Benjamin Rauhala. Knowing that she wanted to further her training in Musical Theatre on the collegiate level, Emma headed to NYC!

GO SEAHAWKS!!
Emma graduated from Wagner College as a Theatre Performance major where she had the incredible opportunity to work with notable faculty such as Tony Award Winner Michele Pawk (Wicked, Hollywood Arms, Cabaret, Seussical), Wendy Bobbitt Cavett (Come From Away, Mamma Mia!), and Theresa McCarthy (Titanic, Evening Primrose, Floyd Collins). At Wagner, she starred in a variety of musicals, plays, and choreographed for multiple department and student-run productions. She recently studied Physical Theatre abroad at Accademia dell’Arte in Arezzo, Italy (you can see her travels documented on Instagram @emmainarezzo). There, she was introduced to several forms of art, such as Commedia dell’Arte, Clowning, Devising, and Tarantella (and most importantly, the art of pasta making). She thoroughly enjoyed her senior year at Wagner, full of new experiences and opportunities for growth. She closed up her Wagner Colege Theatre career on the Wagner College Main Stage in “The Prom” as Dee Dee Allen, directed by Broadway's Emma Pittman.
